Reverie Field Project Wiki

Good News, Everyone :)

After a long stretch of building, tuning, and shipping features at full gain… I finally did the thing every weird little radio-world needs:

The official Reverie Field Wiki is live.
https://catchtherecord.com/reverie-field-wiki

This isn’t a random pile of notes or a “maybe-this-is-true” FAQ. It’s a clean, curated hub where the game’s systems are documented the way they’re meant to be played, like a proper patchbay: labeled, connected, and easy to route when you need clarity.

What the Wiki is (and why it matters)

Reverie Field has grown into a game with a lot of interlocking mechanics: listening sessions, relic generation, talents, crafting limits, season rules, the economy, and more. If you’re new, it can feel like walking into a studio full of gear with no assistant and three blinking meters that look important.

The Wiki fixes that.

It’s a single entry point where you can learn the systems in the right order, understand the “why” behind the rules, and stop losing progress to avoidable mistakes. It’s written to be readable, practical, and accurate — not just flavor text.

And yes: it’s meant to be used. Not “read once and forget”, but bookmarked, revisited, and searched when you’re mid-run and want certainty.

What’s inside

The Wiki is structured around clear guide pages each one focused, with zero filler. You’ll find:

Getting Started: day 1 direction, early progression, where rewards actually come from

Core Loop: the daily routine and why it compounds over time

Learn Tab: sound descriptions, cooldowns, limits, fragments, SONO rolls, and scaling

Listening Sessions & Relic Generation (Deep Dive): session rules, scaling, and the full relic roll logic

Relics & Relic Memories: rarities, memory rules, collection progression

Talents: canonical effects, unlocks, and synergy logic, all mechanics description

Crafting System: UTC limits, success chance, duplication, and sell rules

In-game Store: passes, statuses, currency packs, and what’s coming next

Economy: how WOS/SONO flow, sinks/sources, and the “why” behind balance (including staking, pools, swaps, APY, transaction logs)

Sonic Expeditions: rewards, completion logic, rare rolls, and progression tips

Seasons: entry rules, leaderboards, and event content

Referrals: activation rewards, boost interactions, long-term network value

Secret Phrases :: how the meta works (without ruining the fun)

Grandmaster Systems: late-game rules, resets, and endgame progression

How it works (fast)

Open the Wiki and you’ll see cards for every guide. Click any card → you’re in.

There’s also a simple search bar at the top, so you can type what you need in the moment:
relics, crafting, grandmaster, store, staking, APY, learn, cooldown, pools, it filters instantly.

No scrolling through chaos. No “which post was that again?” energy. Just answers.

New Tasks: the Wiki now pays you back

Alongside the Wiki, I also rebuilt the ingame Tasks list with a bunch of new guide tasks.

Each of these tasks matches a section inside the Wiki.

So now there’s a clean loop available to every player:

Open ingame Tasks tab → choose a guide task → read the relevant Wiki page → claim your reward.

It’s a small thing on paper, but it changes the feel of the game: learning isn’t just “homework”, it’s part of progression. You’ll get stronger, play smarter, and get pleasantly rewarded for it.

This is a living document

Wiki meant to evolve with the game: new pages, updated details, better clarity, tighter explanations. If you’re the kind of player who likes systems, numbers, and clean logic, this is your new home base.

And if you’re the kind of player who just wants vibes and radio - it’s still for you, because it makes the vibes smoother. Less confusion. More flow.

If you want to support the project

Reverie Field is still being built with a lot of love, late nights, and an unreasonable amount of audio brain.

Just buy something inside the game Store.

If you ever feel like helping the project directly, you can do it here:

No pressure. Just a door that’s open.

Welcome to the archive.
The station is finally documented.

Gathering Points

1.1. The Art of Listening

Points are the melody of your journey, flowing to you as you tune into the sounds of the Reverie Field. These points are your connection to the mysterious energy of this world, gathering as you immerse yourself in its ambient wonders.

How to Earn Points: Every 10 seconds of listening grants you 100 points, the base rhythm of your journey. But this is just the beginning – the true harmony lies in the multipliers and bonuses that amplify your connection to the field.

Pausing the Melody: To secure your points, you must pause your sonic journey. Only then are your points safely added to your total, marking each listening session as a step deeper into the field.

1.2. Multipliers and Bonuses: Amplifying the Journey

In the Reverie Field, your connection to the soundscape can be enhanced, allowing your points to crescendo in a symphony of rewards.

Base Multiplier: You start with a simple 1.0x multiplier. This can be amplified through various actions – completing tasks, inviting others, discovering relics, and claiming daily bonuses.

1.3. Boost your points further through tasks and referrals:

Complete engaging tasks to gain a 15% points boost.

Invite friends, and each referral will permanently boost your rewards by 50% of your referred friend’s listening points, providing both social fun and strategic advantage.

2. The Sonic Relics: Echoes of the Unseen

Relics in Reverie Field are not just ancient artifacts – they are echoes of a world unseen, symbols of the hidden wonders that surround us every day. As you journey through the field, these relics reveal themselves to you, each holding a unique resonance that can amplify your progress.

2.1. Types of Relics

Simple Sonic Relic:

Essence: The soft hum of everyday life, the subtle whispers of the world that we often ignore.

Bonus: Enhances your daily streak bonus by 20% for each relic in your collection.

Sell Value: 250,000 points, a modest offering for those who seek to convert their connection into tangible rewards.

Craft price: 20 Relic Fragments

SONO Mining: 120 SONO tokens by burning 1 Simple Relic (available from level 30)

Rare Sonic Relic:

Essence: Fleeting moments captured from the edges of perception – rare sounds that dance on the breeze.

Bonus: Boosts your daily streak bonus by 200%, a significant surge in your journey’s rhythm.

Sell Value: 5,000,000 points, reflecting the rarity and power of these elusive relics.

Craft price: 200 Relic Fragments

SONO Mining: 1200 SONO tokens by burning 1 Rare Relic (available from level 35).

Epic Sonic Relic:

Essence: The thunderous echoes of nature’s grandeur – sounds that resonate with the primal forces of the earth.

Bonus: Multiplies your overall points multiplier by 25% for each relic, amplifying your connection to the field.

SONO Mining: 24000 SONO tokens by burning 1 Epic Relic (available from level 35).

Legendary Sonic Relic:

Essence: Echoes of legends and myths – sounds that straddle the line between reality and imagination.

Bonus: Multiplies your overall points multiplier by a staggering 250% for each relic, a testament to the power of these near-mythical sounds.

SONO Mining: 120000 SONO tokens by burning 1 Epic Relic (available from level 35).

Every 20,000 relics created, a halving occurs.

This reduces both the chance of receiving relics and their rewards by half.

You can collect relic fragments through:

  • Daily logins
  • Completing Expeditions
  • Participating in sound descriptions
  • Voting in the Sono Portal

Craft and upgrade your relic collection strategically to optimize your rewards.

Listening to Relics

At any time during your journey, you can revisit the sounds of the relics in your collection. Each relic offers a unique listening experience, providing a deeper connection to the places, moments, and stories they represent. The more relics you collect, the richer and more varied your sonic journey becomes, offering endless opportunities to explore the hidden soundscapes of the Reverie Field.

In this world, sound is not just something to hear – it’s something to experience. Each relic invites you to pause, listen, and immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of sounds that make up the Reverie Field, deepening your connection to the world around you with every note.

2.2. Discovering Relics: The Art of Listening

Relic Generation: As you immerse yourself in the sounds of the Reverie Field, there’s a chance that a relic might reveal itself to you at the end of your listening session:

Simple Relic: 10% chance – these are the most accessible echoes.

Rare Relic: 0.5% chance – glimpses of the extraordinary.

Epic Relic: 0.05% chance – the resonance of nature’s might.

Legendary Relic: 0.0015% chance – whispers from the mythic past.

2.3. The Trade of Relics: A Balancing Act

Selling Relics: While Simple and Rare Sonic Relics can be sold for points, Epic and Legendary Sonic Relics are far too powerful and are instead used to unlock the highest levels of the field, their power too great to simply exchange.

3. Ascending Through the Levels: The Path of Harmony

Climbing the levels in Reverie Field is akin to tuning into a deeper, more resonant frequency, where each level unveils new possibilities and greater power. This journey is not just about accumulating points, but about aligning yourself with the unseen forces of the field.

3.1. The Journey Through Levels

There are 50 levels in total. As you ascend, each level requires more points in exponential progression.

Cumulative Boost Explanation

As you progress through the levels in the Reverie Field Project, each level you reach not only increases your individual boost but also contributes to a cumulative boost, which amplifies the rewards you gain from listening to the soundscapes. Here’s how it works:

How the Cumulative Boost Works:

Each level you upgrade grants you a specific percentage boost. This boost is then added to your cumulative boost, which increases your overall reward multiplier during your listening sessions.

The boost percentages are cumulative, meaning that the boosts from all levels you’ve achieved add up. For instance, if you’ve reached Level 10, your total cumulative boost is the sum of all the boosts from Level 1 to Level 10.

Example:

If you are at Level 5, your cumulative boost would be:

Level 1: 5%

Level 2: 6%

Level 3: 7%

Level 4: 8%

Level 5: 9%

Total Cumulative Boost = 5% + 6% + 7% + 8% + 9% = 35%

At Level 20, with a cumulative boost sum from Level 1 to Level 20, your total boost would be much higher, making each listening session significantly more rewarding.

Why It Matters:

The cumulative boost directly affects the points you earn from each listening session. The higher your cumulative boost, the more points you can accumulate in a shorter time, accelerating your progress through the game.

This system encourages players to keep leveling up, as each new level not only provides an immediate boost but also makes the rewards from all previous levels even more potent.

Strategic Consideration:

Upgrading consistently is key. The sooner you reach higher levels, the faster your cumulative boost grows, leading to exponential gains in your listening rewards.

Combining the cumulative boost with your daily streak bonus and other multipliers like tasks and referrals can result in very powerful point accumulation.

The cumulative boost system rewards consistent progress and leveling up by making each level’s boost more valuable, leading to greater rewards in your sonic exploration journey.

In the Reverie Field Project, the synergy between your cumulative boost and the power of Epic and Legendary Sonic Relics creates a transformative force. As you level up, your cumulative boost steadily grows, amplifying your point gains. When this boost is multiplied by the Epic Relics, which increase your overall multiplier by 25%, and the Legendary Relics, which magnify it by a staggering 250%, your progress turns into a torrent of rewards. This combination is the pinnacle of mastery in the Reverie Field, where every relic collected and every level gained coalesce into a powerful symphony, elevating your journey into an extraordinary experience of unmatched resonance and potential.

3.2. Daily listening art

Daily Streak System

Your daily streak bonus increases each consecutive day you log into the game, starting from 10% on the second day and reaching up to

Important: If you miss logging in for more than 24 hours, your streak resets to zero, and you’ll need to start building it again.

📜 Daily Login Streak:

Log in daily to claim increasingly valuable rewards. Earn points and Relic Fragments — an exclusive in-game currency crucial for crafting powerful relics. Each consecutive login significantly boosts your rewards, unlocking new opportunities.

Reverie Field Project Game
Read on medium

Hey everyone!

I’ve got a fun announcement to make, but fair warning — it’s a bit of a long read. I’ll keep future posts shorter, don’t worry. So, if you’re interested, stick around. I think most of you already know that I’ve been into field recording — or, as the cool kids call it, “field recording:3” — for years now. I wander around with microphones, recording everything I see (or hear, more precisely). Sounds cool, right? Well, it really is. Especially if I were, say, a 50-year-old Icelandic or Norwegian guy whose parents left him a few million in the bank and a family business on autopilot.

With each passing year, it’s getting harder to find meaning in what I do — or really, in most of my interests. Time flies, and suddenly, you can’t let yourself indulge in certain things anymore. You end up spending hours tinkering with something, only to feel like you should be doing something more “productive.” It’s like you’re your own worst critic, forbidding yourself from having fun. You start feeling like you’re just messing around, and maybe you should be doing something more useful.

So, what’s my point?
I keep searching for new meanings in what I love. You probably know I’ve got an online radio station that streams my field recordings 24/7 — really cool recordings, by the way, and the stream quality is top-notch, probably the best you can get. The sounds are relaxing, perfect for zoning out. I’ve got quite a lot of recordings already, and I’ve got about five times more that I haven’t even organized yet. To me, they’re fragments of life. My personal horcruxes.

This 24/7 audio stream, powered by the open-source Azura Cast protocol, is available online, and sometimes I do YouTube streams too. But let’s be real — it’s not the most convenient setup. I’ve been wondering what I could do to improve it. Not everyone wants to visit a my website about field recording just to listen to the radio. Heck, even I don’t like that. Should I set up an autonomous YouTube stream like those “lo-fi girl” channels? Nah, that would mean setting up another server and all sorts of extra hassle. Too complicated. So I thought a little more… and then made things ten times more complicated.

I created a mini app for Telegram. Tada! But it’s not just some mini app with a radio link like “Thanks for listening! :3” No, I turned it into something like a game. Yes, almost like a clicker game. Like a Hamster, you know)) But I swear, you won’t make a single cent from this. That’s the slogan of my business model. I should put that quote on my office wall. So yeah, you won’t earn anything in my app, except maybe my respect.

But, still, it ended up feeling just like those endless tap games, and I’m into that stuff myself. There was a ton of coding involved, a ton of headaches. ChatGPT is basically my brother now. I don’t even consider myself a programmer. I just taught myself a bit of coding back when I was messing around with Solana and other nonsense (Rust and JS), which actually helped me a lot in my current job. I built the backend in Python and the frontend in HTML and JS. And don’t get me started on the database struggles. I had to learn how to create them, connect them to the server, manage them via command line, and tweak them for different platforms. And of course, I had to log everything — every little action in the app, so I could track all your moves in real time or through log files. At some point, it started feeling like mixing sound. Seriously. You’re not just mixing instruments and vocals — you’re piecing together errors, logic, bugs, and hacks into something coherent. And it has its own space, like a soundscape. You’re setting up data processing between the frontend and backend, and a whole bunch of other things. There’s even a simple deployed server code that receives messages from the main app and passes them to another one that manages the bot. (I couldn’t get both tasks to work asynchronously in one piece of code.) So the bot does its bot things in Telegram — commands, start buttons, referrals, and so on — while also sending posts to the Telegram group and Discord channel based on certain events. Yeah… I went a little overboard.

By the number of lines of code, I could probably pass for a confident outsourced Indian developer. And the funniest thing is — it works. The code was written from scratch, and it kept evolving, getting tested, and growing more complex. During my ten-minute “mega research” on GitHub, I didn’t find anything useful, because I thought everything there was too complicated. So I made something equally complicated from scratch.

But wow, what a satisfying feeling.

So, here’s the deal:
You’ve got an app where you listen to my recordings. One of Telegram’s great features is that you can open as many mini-apps as you want, minimize them, even minimize Telegram itself, and the sound keeps playing. Exactly what I wanted.

Oh, and you earn points for listening. Uh-oh, here we go. The app’s got different, let’s say, game mechanics.

Game Mechanics:

After working on casual games and tapping away at clicker games, I think I’ve devolved to the point where I get a dopamine hit from watching numbers change and random actions made by not-so-smart people. But honestly, sometimes that’s just what you need. Especially when everyone around you is all creative, and you just want to be a dummy for a bit, with something playing in the background. Like what, you ask? My field recordings, of course :3

So, here’s the deal: By default, you earn 100 points for every 10 seconds of listening. But there’s also a boost system. You get a percentage boost for completing simple tasks like visiting links related to me and my sound work — different links to social media or resources. You also get a boost for each referral you bring in. Classic hamster wheel stuff. You get 15% for every referral added to your streak. Yeah, streak — what a funny word. And here’s the twist: a single person can sign up under multiple referral links, which is a bit of a deviation from the usual, but it adds a whole new game mechanic. You can support your friends by following their links, creating strategies for mutual growth.

There’s a leveling system in the game too. It’s almost like Path of Exile (PoE). Let me explain: You can level up from 1 to 50. That’s it.

BUT. To level up, you need to exchange your Points for World Sounds. And here’s where things get spicy. When you hit the exchange button, all your Points get converted into World Sounds (WOS), and you drop out of the points leaderboard. You’re nobody now.

If you survive that, you can use WOS to level up. For each level, you get a noticeable boost. But here’s the kicker — it’s not just a flat boost. For example, for level 2 you get 5%, for level 3 you get 10%, for level 4 it’s 15%. But these add up. So by level 4, instead of 15%, you’ve got a total of 30%. And it keeps stacking. The numbers in the game are a bit different, and the system is exponential. So the total boost becomes really noticeable. It’s worth grinding for. And to grind, you’ve gotta listen.

Also, there are a couple of hidden buttons in your profile for TON wallets and some activities tied to them. But honestly, I thought to myself, “Come on, don’t go too far. That’s already any Ubisoft-game-level complex,” so I kept them hidden. Let’s keep this project free from any monetization. At least in the game itself.

You don’t need to mindlessly tap like an idiot or check in every few hours to collect profits. The sounds themselves have intrinsic value. That’s the whole point. The rest is just window dressing, though I tried to make the dressing a bit more fun.

And here’s the most important game mechanic:

While you’re listening, there’s a chance you’ll come across special Sound Relics. Depending on their rarity, the chances vary. There are four types: Simple, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Each type has its own bonuses, look, sound, and even lore, if we can call it that.

Relics are associated with something rare and valuable. Sonic Relics can symbolize rare sounds that the player managed to “record” or “discover” during their sound exploration.

There’s a whole waterfall of game mechanics, numbers, and other goodies.

The game also has leaderboards: Best in points, best in referrals, best in levels, and best in relics.

Your engagement, your attention, will help me feel a greater public value in what I do. And that’ll give me a boost to keep going in this field. That’s the core mechanic. Somewhere around this, there’s also music based on field recordings and all sorts of tape and synth experiments.

I do all this for myself, constantly. But honestly, going to art residencies and turning this into some kind of circus, trying to attach meaning to something that really doesn’t have any, just to get attention? No thanks. I’d rather create a hamster-style format — it’s much more honest. The sounds speak for themselves without any pretentiousness. Especially if you present them with taste.

These sounds and, I guess, this lifestyle mean so much to me that I even feel embarrassed talking about it openly.

Thanks to everyone who made it to the end.

Oh, and by the way, here’s the bot: https://t.me/NotRadioBot

I’m not giving out referral codes — I can draw up any number I want for myself ;)

About Field Recording and my journey as a sound recordist

Read on Medium

Field recording in commercial settings is an intricate and nuanced process. Many of the most captivating and unique recordings are often excluded from professional sound libraries due to stringent requirements. The diversity of sounds in these libraries is actually quite limited because unique field recordings from diverse locations around the world tend to have limited usability in post-production.

In commercial production, soundscapes are typically crafted according to a specific canon, involving the artificial layering of disparate sounds from various environments and events. What we hear in films, interactive games, and various video production works is far removed from reality, from how the world truly sounds. This is intentional, as these sound textures are designed not to draw too much attention. They must play a supportive role within the visual narrative, as more significant elements within the frame require the viewer’s or player’s focus. Consequently, soundscapes are often just backdrops, creating a sense of space and serving as connective tissue, but rarely playing a truly artistic role.

Real world ambience recordings often contain an abundance of information, which is not always suitable for sound design. It is easier to construct a sense of space from small, meticulously cleaned recordings than to find a ready-made atmosphere track. This practice has led to the establishment of a production canon.

This is precisely why I created my radio Reverie Field — radio with my field recordings. I wanted to offer people an authentic auditory experience of how the real world sounds when captured with professional equipment. To demonstrate that such field recordings can be self-sufficient, rich with artistic and aesthetic value. Through this platform, listeners can appreciate the genuine beauty and complexity of natural soundscapes.

For over seven years (and more than twelve years in professional audio), I have immersed myself in the world of professional field recording, capturing sounds and creating libraries. I love to wander through unfamiliar streets, my bottomless backpack filled with microphones and headphones, searching and listening attentively. I have dedicated thousands of hours to walking down various roads, sitting amidst clouds of humming mosquitoes, blending into the environment, and working in the studio, meticulously listening to countless hours of these recordings.

Returning to the same locations dozens or even hundreds of times to record in different weather conditions or seasons has become a routine. My sounds have found their place in films, games, commercial video productions, and advertisements. Artists and bloggers also use them for their projects. Needless to say, sound recording has become my life.

I embarked on this sonic adventure many years ago and remain captivated by it, driven by a simple yet profound idea: the world around us is beautiful, everywhere, right now, no matter where you are.

My online 24\7 radio with field recordings

Reverie Field Project

Read on Medium

A 24-hour online radio and digital sonic imprint of Earth: the wonderful world of sounds around us. The broadcast powered by the open-source protocol AzuraCast. The principle of Attention Mining is at work here with Koii network (https://docs.koii.network/concepts/web3/attention-mining): users can visit the site and earn rewards for their listening time in tokens on the Koii Network blockchain. It’s a Proof of Listening — a new way of mining.

Our Roadmap:

2024

Q1:

24\7 Online-radio with Site

A 24-hour online radio dedicated to field recording: exploring the wonderful world of sounds around us. The broadcast will be powered by the open-source protocol AzuraCast. We aim to make blockchain a little more “green”. Over seven years of field recordings from various countries, curated by Founder of Reverie Field Project (https://sound-record.com and https://catchtherecord.com), are now available on this online radio.

Q2:

Koii Blockhain Integration

The principle of Attention mining works here (https://docs.koii.network/concepts/web3/attention-mining): users will be able to visit the site and receive rewards for their radio listening time in tokens on the Koii Network blockchain. Yeah this is a Proof of Listening the new way of mining.

Koii Attention Mining

Visitors will be able to earn rewards for engaging with the platform and listening to the sounds, receiving Koii tokens as a reward. https://docs.koii.network/concepts/introduction/welcome

Q4:

Community NFT Collection Minting

An NFT collection in a thematic style will be created to support the project. These NFTs will allow users to earn higher mining coefficients while listening within the app and grant access to various community bonuses. All proceeds will be used to maintain liquidity pools for the project’s future native token.

2025

Q1:

Project token launch

Developing own native project token on the Koii blockchain. Once the project garners sufficient interest, we will create a proprietary token to support the internal ecosystem. A small portion of this token will be minted under project management and funds. The majority, however, will be minted through Attention Mining. Users will mint this token by listening to the sounds. For this purpose, a specialized mini-app will also be developed. It may be integrated into Telegram for more convenient use.

Q3:

Digital sonic imprint of Earth

Creating a comprehensive website resource is far more than just an online radio with sounds from around the world. It is a platform featuring an interactive map of the world, where each country is delineated with its borders. Users can click on any country to hear its unique soundscape (and get some rewards for this): the sounds of its nature, landmarks, cities, and other characteristic noises. This endeavor will require a high level of creativity and expertise in conveying each country’s distinctive audio landscape, highlighting its unique features. We will collaborate with field recordists and sound artists from around the globe to curate this collection. In doing so, we will immortalize the sounds of our planet by recording them on the blockchain. This will serve as a digital sonic imprint of Earth, a unique audiovisual map that captures the richness and diversity of soundscapes from different corners of the world. Special field recording expeditions will be organized to capture sounds from various corners of the world, in line with the vision and auditory preferences of our team. This resource will also have an educational component, offering insights and knowledge about the unique soundscapes we document.

Q4:

Sound everywhere

Scaling. MPC wallets already enable us to go beyond the current network and use cryptocurrency across bridges to other blockchains. Our native token will be scaled to all major blockchain ecosystems. This way, you can easily farm it within the Telegram app, earn rewards through Attention Mining on our web resource, and interact with other networks for your convenience. Just imagine hearing recorded sounds of nature and various calming soundscapes in IKEA pavilions, exhibition centers, and large stores. Yeah, they are actually mining our token.

Radio Reverie Field

I am pleased to present to you the “Radio Reverie Field”. This 24/7 radio station based on opensource AzuraCast protocol dedicated to field recording. Various recordings made by me over the past 6 years will be played here. These sounds are divided into categories (playlists), each of which will sound at a certain time. There will be both daily categories and categories playing at a certain time on a certain day.

You can listen to it here and here.

The player is also built into the main page of our site. You can also download the playlist file and listen to the radio from absolutely any player. Over time, it is possible to add radio broadcasting on YouTube. But this is not yet certain, because there may be problems with licensing. I also plan to broadcast various music that is somehow connected with field recording.

You can install the radio station app inside google chrome on windows, mac os or android. On android and mac OS it available as a convenient shortcut that can be placed on the taskbar or desktop.
