The field is on airLive from the Field
Sometimes the radio stops being a recording of somewhere and becomes a window into something happening right now. A room, a microphone, a stream travelling through a few rather unromantic cables. If you catch it while it is happening, Reverie Field lets you keep a trace of the listening.
Live is available only when the @fieldrecordista broadcast is on air. The special rewards require verified playback inside the game. The familiar 24/7 Radio continues to exist independently.

Your first Live session
Live from the Field appears in the Radio area when the broadcast is available. There is no need to memorise a timetable or repeatedly check a separate YouTube page. If the Field is transmitting, the in-game card shows the broadcast title, an ON AIR mark, the available reward rates, and a button labelled Tune into the live signal.
Log in to Reverie Field, open Radio and look for the Live from the Field card. If there is no live broadcast, use ordinary Radio as usual.
Choose Tune into the live signal. The YouTube player opens inside the game. If autoplay is blocked, press Play directly in the video.
Listen at normal 1× speed. Watch the verified time progress. Press Finish live session to close the take and receive the result.
Already listening to ordinary Radio? Finish that session with Stop Listening first. Live and regular Radio are separate listening sessions; they cannot occupy the same session at once. When you switch, collect the old result before beginning the new one.
There is also a Watch on YouTube link. It is useful for opening the original broadcast, sharing it or using YouTube’s own interface. Watching only on YouTube does not start a rewarded Reverie Field session. Start the session through the game's Live card when you want your listening to count.
What the player shows while you listen
The Live card becomes a little control-room sheet. Its important lines are Verified live time, Estimated points, Account points, Total boost, Session remaining, and Reward window. It also distinguishes the time recently displayed by the player from time that has already been confirmed. An estimate is there to give you a sense of progress; the finished listening report records what was actually earned.
Opens a larger player. On supported phones it may use landscape/fullscreen; browsers that do not allow it use an expanded layout instead. Return to page closes it.
Shows the broadcast's YouTube chat in the game when available. You can close it without losing your Live session. If the browser blocks embedded chat, use the YouTube link.
Video and chat are optional ways to follow the moment. The sound, and whether it is actually playing, are what matter to the listening record.
↑ Back to topHow a minute becomes a verified minute
The game looks for the YouTube recording moving naturally while its live broadcast is still active. Think of it as listening with a stopwatch attached to the playback itself. If the sound stops, the stopwatch should stop too. If you jump ahead, those missing minutes cannot appear in your account by magic.
Five ordinary situations
- You press Play. The first confirmed playback reading establishes where you began. Verified time accumulates as the video keeps playing naturally.
- You pause the player. The time already confirmed remains yours. The pause does not create new verified seconds.
- You move through the game or put the app in the background. If YouTube continues playing, its advancing playback can still be confirmed when the game reconnects. If the browser freezes the video, those frozen minutes do not count.
- You skip ahead or speed up. Forward jumps do not earn the skipped interval. The rewarded playback speed is 1×; changes to a different speed interrupt verification.
- You rewind a passage. You can listen again, but repeating an already-heard portion does not mint another copy of the same verified time.
You do not need to keep the video at the very end of YouTube's red LIVE progress bar. Live broadcasts can have a short delay or a rewindable DVR window, and the player may adjust that window during buffering. What counts is real, forward-moving playback at 1×, within the active broadcast.
Buffering is not a lost take. If the connection stalls, the game preserves previously confirmed time. When playback genuinely continues, it can confirm the next valid stretch. The display may briefly catch up after the next check.
Minimum duration, interruptions and recovery
A Live session needs at least 30 verified seconds to qualify for Listening rewards. A 10-minute open player with only 20 seconds of real playback is still a 20-second listening attempt. The minimum is based on verified playback, not the amount of time the window stayed open.
Refreshing the page, briefly losing connection, or returning from the background does not intentionally start a second paid session. The game attempts to restore the existing listening state and confirm the same session. When that recovery is delayed, avoid repeatedly pressing Start. Wait for the restored Live card or the listening result before beginning another take.
If the stream ends while you are listening, the game marks that Live session for completion and saves the verified portion. The player can then return to ordinary Radio. Finishing an already-finished take again does not produce another award.
↑ Back to topWhat you earn
The simple version is on the Live card: ×3 final Listening Points and ×3 Listening Fragments. Those are the current standard Live multipliers. Your equipment, Talents, other earned boosts and the listening reward window still matter, so two players hearing the same broadcast may receive very different totals.
Where the ×3 sits
First, Reverie Field calculates the ordinary Listening reward for your eligible time and current build. Then the Live layer triples that finished amount. The Listening Fragment calculation also keeps its ordinary session bonuses before the Live multiplier is applied.
For example, if the ordinary version of a particular verified take would award 100,000 Points and 30 Fragments, the same take as an eligible Live session would produce 300,000 Points and 90 Fragments. That is a comparison of two finished rewards, not a promise that every session pays those numbers.
Try a Live reward print
Enter the ordinary Listening totals you want to compare. This small calculator shows the extra reward from the Live layer. It uses no account data and does not attempt to predict your relic roll or Talent build.
Listening rewards still use the daily UTC bands
Live does not replace the ordinary daily Listening allowance. Your verified seconds enter the same 24-hour reward system as Radio. The bands are measured by how much eligible listening you have already used that UTC day; they are not fixed hours on the wall clock.
| Daily listening used | Reward treatment | What this means for Live |
|---|---|---|
| First 16 hours | 100% eligible reward time | Ordinary full-rate reward, then Live ×3. Eligible time can also count toward Season listening. |
| Next 4 hours (16–20h) | 50% eligible reward time | The half-rate calculation happens first, then Live ×3. No Season listening credit for this band. |
| Final 4 hours (20–24h) | 0% ordinary reward | Multiplying a zero reward still gives zero. No Season listening or relic-roll reward time. |
The maximum length of a single Listening session is four hours. You can participate in another broadcast session later if one is available and your normal listening limits allow it. Reaching the four-hour session limit does not remove the overall daily UTC reward bands.
What about the usual Listening Fragments ×3? That ordinary session layer is already included before the Live layer. In an uncomplicated example, a base fragment bundle of 10 becomes 30 through the normal session layer and 90 after the Live ×3. Read the finished report rather than multiplying the displayed reward by three again.
The finished report: ordinary take, Live extra, final print
At the end of a Live session the game opens Live Impression Recovered. Its proof sheet separates the reward into Ordinary Take, Live ×3 and Final Print for both Points and Fragments. The last column is what reached your account. You can also inspect the session details and history if you want to check verified time, reduced reward time, or a recovered relic.
A Crew listening bonus can contribute to the ordinary reward before the Live multiplier, and the corresponding Crew reserve mirror is also calculated for the Live take. Nothing is subtracted from your personal payout to create that Crew contribution.
↑ Back to topSonic Relics recovered during Live
Here is the exciting part, and the part worth reading carefully. Live does not guarantee a relic. It uses the Listening relic-generation path, including your existing chance modifiers, eligibility rules and rarity rolls. But when a Sonic Relic is recovered from a verified Live session, it has a special starting-level roll: Level 5 through Level 12.
Uses the ordinary Listening relic-roll mechanics, affected by eligible reward time and your applicable bonuses. Live ×3 Points is not a ×3 relic-drop chance.
Uses the special Live Level 5–12 roll shown below. Its rarity, quality, Memory Word and school remain properties of the resulting Sonic Relic.
How long do I need to listen for a relic chance?
As with ordinary Listening, the usual relic lane requires 10 effective reward minutes. Ten minutes of full-rate verified playback meet that time threshold. If all the eligible time falls in the 50% daily band, reaching the same effective threshold takes 20 verified minutes. Listening at a 0% reward band cannot create new eligible relic-roll time.
Once the session is finished, the game can award a relic or report that no relic was found. If a relic result takes longer to appear than the Points result, the pending roll can still complete without requiring you to start the listening again.
Live starting-level distribution
All eight levels are possible, but the lower ones are deliberately more common. This is the starting level if a relic has already been found; the percentages below are not the chance of finding a relic in the first place.
| Starting level | Chance among Live-recovered relics | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Lv 5 | 50% | The common Live impression. |
| Lv 6 | 28% | A useful head start. |
| Lv 7 | 14% | Less common. |
| Lv 8 | 5.5% | A stronger starting point. |
| Lv 9 | 1.8% | Unusual. |
| Lv 10 | 0.55% | Very uncommon. |
| Lv 11 | 0.14% | Exceptionally rare. |
| Lv 12 | 0.01% | A one-in-ten-thousand Live-level roll. |
A Rare Lv5 is still Rare; a Legendary Lv5 is still Legendary. Rarity and starting level are separate properties. Do not read the level table as a rarity table. A Live relic keeps its own source marking in your collection, so its origin can be recognised later.
Relics from Live may also interact with the usual Listening systems: school, quality, Memory Words, upgrades, Active Resonance and certain Talents. Those are covered in Relics & Relic Memories and Relic Upgrades & Active Resonance. This page concentrates on what is distinctive about receiving a relic from a live broadcast.
↑ Back to topEight Live achievements to work toward
There is a small second archive attached to these broadcasts. Four achievements follow accumulated Live listening hours across multiple sessions; four remember Sonic Relics found while Live was running. They have their own one-time Fragments, SONO and Quick +1 voucher rewards.
These are achievement rewards, separate from the Points and Fragments you receive for each listening session. Complete the condition, then use the game's Sync Achievements to claim or reconcile eligible badges. Discord can reflect the unlocked roles when connected, but the in-game achievement is what matters for the reward.
Listening-time milestones
| Achievement | What you must do | One-time reward |
|---|---|---|
| Wet Plate Witness | 1 total verified Live hour | 50,000 Fragments 1 Standard Quick +1 voucher(s) |
| Copper Bath Keeper | 10 total verified Live hours | 150,000 Fragments 1 Standard Quick +1 voucher(s) |
| Long Exposure Archivist | 100 total verified Live hours | 750,000 Fragments 1 Premium Preserve Quick +1 voucher(s) |
| Weather Etched in Copper | 500 total verified Live hours | 3,000,000 Fragments 3 Premium Preserve Quick +1 voucher(s) |
Relic recovery milestones
| Achievement | What you must do | One-time reward |
|---|---|---|
| Unrepeatable Negative | Recover any Sonic Relic during verified Live | 100,000 Fragments 1 Premium Preserve Quick +1 voucher(s) |
| Silvered Signal | Recover a Rare Sonic Relic during verified Live | 125,000 Fragments 1 Standard Quick +1 voucher(s) |
| Acid-Bath Apparition | Recover an Epic Sonic Relic during verified Live | 500,000 Fragments 1 Premium Preserve Quick +1 voucher(s) |
| Plate Without a Second Copy | Recover a Legendary Sonic Relic during verified Live | 2,000,000 Fragments 2 Premium Preserve Quick +1 voucher(s) |
A higher-rarity find can meet the general Unrepeatable Negative requirement as well as its own rarity-specific condition. Each badge is still a one-time achievement. Open the Achievement System guide for the wider rank and archive system.
↑ Back to topWhen the stream behaves strangely
Live video is delivered through YouTube, inside a game that also has its own radio and audio systems. Browsers differ, especially on phones. A few behaviours are normal, and knowing which ones matter can save you a lot of confusion.
The broadcast may be offline, or its status may still be updating. The card is only offered when the live signal is confirmed. There is no general always-on Live reward mode.
Try Play inside the YouTube video. Some browsers prevent automatic playback until you interact with the player.
The browser probably paused the iframe. Return, resume playback and allow the next confirmation to catch up. Frozen time itself is not rewarded.
Previously confirmed seconds remain preserved. The on-screen number may be projected between checks and refreshed after the next real media-clock confirmation.
Use the Watch on YouTube link for chat. Embedding and account cookies depend on browser and YouTube behaviour; they do not change your Listening award.
The game can close the take automatically and show the last confirmed reward. If the next Radio Start says the Live take is finalizing, let the result complete rather than starting again.
Useful distinction: Estimated Points describe progress while a take is still open; Final Print on the completed report records the reward actually credited. If the two differ, check verified time and the UTC reward band first.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a live stream every day?
No fixed schedule is guaranteed here. The Live card appears when the @fieldrecordista broadcast is active. Ordinary Radio is available independently.
Do I have to buy a pass to listen to Live?
The Live entry is tied to your logged-in game session and an available broadcast. The Live card does not introduce a separate pass requirement. Your other game status and normal listening bonuses continue to work as usual.
Can I earn rewards by watching on YouTube alone?
No. Open the Live player from Reverie Field and begin a verified listening session. The external Watch on YouTube link does not start a rewarded game session.
Does pressing Tune in immediately award time?
No. Playback must actually start. The first valid reading establishes a starting position; verified time accumulates from continuing 1× playback.
Do I have to stay at the YouTube LIVE edge?
No. The current rules follow genuine media playback at 1× during the active stream. YouTube DVR lag alone is not a reason to reject a real listening interval.
Can I pause, move to another tab, or lock my phone?
You can pause or switch away. The verified time already earned is preserved. Further time counts only while YouTube continues advancing; if a mobile browser suspends the player, the suspended period is not paid.
Can I replay the same ten minutes for another reward?
No. Rewinding does not create new verified listening time for an interval already counted during that session.
What if I skip ahead?
A jump forward is treated as a new starting position. The skipped seconds do not count as listened time.
What if I change playback speed to 1.5×?
Verified Listening requires normal 1× playback. Changing speed interrupts eligible proof until normal playback resumes.
Why does my verified timer appear to pause or jump?
The display shows an estimate between confirmed readings. Buffering, background execution and a delayed confirmation can make it appear to catch up. The finished report uses the confirmed time.
What is the minimum Live session?
At least 30 verified seconds are needed for Listening rewards. Time spent with an open but paused or buffering player does not satisfy the minimum.
Can I use Live and the 24/7 Radio at the same time?
Not as two reward sessions. Finish your ordinary Radio session before starting Live, and finish the Live take before beginning normal Radio.
How long can a single Live session last?
The Listening session cap is four hours. Verified playback may be less than the wall-clock length of the session if playback paused or stopped.
Does Live bypass the 16h / 4h / 4h daily reward bands?
No. Confirmed Live time uses the same UTC-day reward allowance as ordinary listening. The Live multiplier applies after the current band has been taken into account.
Do I always get three times as many relics?
No. The ×3 Live bonuses apply to final Listening Points and Listening Fragments. Relic chances still follow the Listening relic lane; a drop is never guaranteed.
What is special about a Live relic?
When a relic is recovered from an eligible Live session, it begins at Lv5–12 using the Live level distribution, and its source identifies it as a Live discovery.
Can a Live relic be Rare, Epic or Legendary?
Yes. The standard rarity roll remains possible. Starting level and rarity are independent properties.
Why did I get no Points after hearing the stream?
Check whether 30 verified seconds were recorded, whether the video truly played at 1×, and whether your daily UTC reward window has reached its reduced or zero-reward band.
What happens if the live broadcast ends on its own?
The session can be finalized automatically from its verified time. The game then allows a return to normal Radio; finishing the same take twice cannot double the payout.
Where did the stream reward go after a reload?
Look for the recovered listening session and its finished report. A pending relic result may appear after the main Points calculation; you do not need to recreate the old listening session.
Do the Live achievements require Discord?
The achievements belong to the in-game Archive. Discord can show matching roles, but linking Discord is separate from the rules that make a Live listening session eligible. Use Sync Achievements to reconcile completed badge rewards.
Does Live chat affect my chances?
No. Chat is optional and does not control verified Listening, Points, Fragments or relic drops.
Where should I read about other Listening rules?
The Listening Sessions & Relic Generation guide explains ordinary listening math. The Achievement System guide covers rank progression and achievement rewards; Relics & Relic Memories covers the objects you may recover.
A note from the Field
A live recording is an awkward thing to preserve. Sometimes almost nothing happens. A microphone hangs in a quiet room, someone moves a chair, a bird interrupts the take, or the signal arrives a little later than expected. That small uncertainty is part of the reason to listen while it is happening.
The game keeps a record of the time you actually spent there, and occasionally it returns a peculiar little object from the archive. The ordinary radio will still be here after the broadcast ends.
