Secret Phrases are the hidden language layer of Reverie Field. They connect words, relic memories, phrase-bound relics, mastery rewards and Active Resonance chains into one long-term puzzle path.

What Secret Phrases are
A Secret Phrase is a hidden sequence of memory words. You reveal and complete it by binding correct relic memories to the phrase slots. The system is part puzzle, part archive and part build layer.

A relic committed to a phrase slot. It can become locked for normal use until unbound.

Repeated phrase links across equipped relics can become Active Resonance power.
You do not need internal labels to understand the system. The important player question is: which relic memory belongs to which phrase, and whether that bound relic should also become part of your equipped build.
Binding memory words
Binding connects a relic to a Secret Phrase slot. A bound relic can become unavailable for normal trade, merge or listing actions until it is unbound.
- Binding is meant to be deliberate. Do not bind your best build relic without checking how it affects your setup.
- Phrase-bound relics can still matter as build anchors when equipped and linked into a phrase chain.
- The UI should refresh phrase progress and relic state after a successful bind or unbind.
- Some advanced phrase-bind routes can roll relic outcomes when the right late-game talent setup is active.
Completion rewards
Completing Secret Phrases grants rewards and can unlock achievement progress. Rewards can include fragments, SONO, achievement roles, phrase mastery progress and late-game relic routes depending on the current phrase and account state.
Important completion rule
Historical completion is not erased when you unbind a relic. Unbinding frees the relic/slot state for rebuilding, but it does not pretend that the phrase was never completed.
The game also tracks seasonal repeat completion so that re-completing phrases after a valid seasonal reset can be rewarded correctly without duplicating the same historical completion forever.
Phrase mastery groups
Secret Phrase mastery is grouped into sets of five phrases. The phrases are ordered from easier/shorter groups toward harder/longer groups, and mastery opens sequentially.

Mastery rewards players who actually clear the archive in order instead of only chasing one isolated phrase.
Phrase chains in Active Resonance
Phrase chains happen when several equipped relics are linked to the same phrase. This turns Secret Phrases into a real build layer, not just a checklist.

The chain value can be shaped by phrase length and by phrase-focused relic effects. In normal words: deeper and more deliberate phrase chains are stronger than accidental one-off links.
Unbinding relics
Paid unbind exists so players can rebuild. It frees a relic from a phrase slot without deleting the phrase’s historical completion.
- Unbind costs SONO and is protected as an important action.
- The phrase slot and relic state should refresh immediately after a successful unbind.
- Unbinding is useful when a relic became too valuable for another build path.
- Do not use unbind as a random habit; use it when the build reason is clear.
Seasonal resets and repeat rewards
Seasonal phrase reset lets Secret Phrases become relevant again in a new season. The system tracks reward generations, so a repeat completion after a valid reset can pay without confusing it with the original historical completion.
A phrase can have historical completion, current seasonal progress and bound relic state at the same time. That is why the UI may show more than one kind of status for the same phrase.
Grandmaster mirrors
Some very late-game Secret Phrase events can echo through the Grandmaster referral network. These mirrors do not reduce the original player’s reward; they create a rare social echo for eligible Grandmaster referrers.
- Mirror routes require deep Grandmaster and referral conditions.
- Mutual referral structure can matter for specific phrase mirror paths.
- Referral Resonator and other late-game talents can be part of eligibility.
- Most players should treat this as an endgame discovery system, not an early goal.
Strategy
- Do not bind valuable relics blindly. Open Memory first.
- Use phrase-bound relics as possible Active Resonance anchors, not only as checklist pieces.
- Think in groups of five phrases for mastery progress.
- Build chains deliberately when several equipped relics can point to the same phrase.
- Use unbind to rebuild, not to erase history.
- After seasonal reset, check current phrase generation before assuming a reward is missing.
