Seasons (Official Guide)

Seasons turn Reverie Field from a calm ambient listening world into a fair, time-based competition — without breaking the “everyone can play” spirit.
Your rank is driven by one thing only: listening time inside the season.

Quick Navigation

Why Seasons exist

⏳ A fair competition built on time

Points, relics, and tokens are the product of time, discovery, and a bit of luck. Seasons are different: they are designed so that every account stands equal. Inventory, level, relic set, token stack — none of that decides your placement. Only listening time during the current season matters.

Season format & naming

🌨️ Seasons are real seasons now

Seasons are no longer quarterly (Q1/Q2/Q3/Q4). They now follow the calendar seasons and use keys like: 2026WINTER, 2026SPRING, 2026SUMMER, 2026AUTUMN.

How the season year is calculated

  • WINTER: December + January + February
    • December belongs to the next year’s WINTER. Example: Dec 2025 → 2026WINTER.
    • Jan–Feb belong to the same year’s WINTER. Example: Jan 2026 → 2026WINTER.
  • SPRING: March–May
  • SUMMER: June–August
  • AUTUMN: September–November

Older historical seasons may still appear under the old format (YYYYQ1–YYYYQ4), but the live system uses seasonal keys.

What counts as “listening time”

🎧 Only successful sessions count
  • Listening time is the duration you spend inside a successfully completed listening session.
  • Foreground and background play both count.
  • If a session fails, Reverie Field tries to restore it — but only sessions that end cleanly and are recorded by the server are added to:
    • Season Listening (this season only)
    • Lifetime Listening (your all-time listening)
Counts completed sessions Counts background play No “lost” sessions

Why burn points?

🔥 A sink + a transition
  • Healthier economy: Seasons create a meaningful sink that reduces point inflation.
  • Clear commitment: entry is a deliberate choice — you trade stored points for a fair competition slot.
  • On-chain/off-chain conversion (optional): when enabled, the entry burn can become a conversion to $WOS under the current minting rules (see below).

Two listening leaderboards

📊 Season vs Lifetime
  • Season Listening: time listened in the current season only. This decides winners.
  • Lifetime Listening: your all-time listening total in the main Leaderboards tab — long-term bragging rights.

Seasons are your “right now” story. Lifetime is your “career”.

On-chain vs off-chain rewards

🔁 Where rewards go

Entry conversion (points → $WOS)

  • Entering a season burns your points.
  • If your wallet is linked and the game is operating in on-chain mode for entry, the burn converts into $WOS under the current mint rules.
  • If no wallet is linked, entry still works — points burn and you are registered — but no on-chain mint happens.

Claim rewards (SONO)

  • Season reward claims can be delivered either on-chain (to your linked wallet) or off-chain (to your in-game balance), depending on the current setup.
  • No retroactive mints: linking a wallet later will not mint past burns/rewards. Minting is tied to the moment of entry/claim.
On-chain wallet mint Off-chain in-game credit No retroactive mints

Anti-cheat & integrity

🛡️ Seasons only work if they’re fair

The full detection stack is not public, but the system actively validates session patterns, checks for anomalies, and acts on confirmed abuse. Expect this to keep evolving.

FAQ

❓ Common questions

Can I enter without a wallet?

Yes. Your points still burn and your entry is registered. You just won’t mint on-chain tokens at entry time.

If I link a wallet later, do I get tokens for the burn I already did?

No. Minting (when enabled) is tied to the moment of entry/claim.

Do level, relics, SONO, or fragments affect season rank?

No. Season rank is determined by season listening time only.

What’s a “successful session”?

A session that ends cleanly and is recorded by the server. Only those sessions add to season and lifetime totals.

I don’t have 5,000,000 points yet.

Keep playing. Once you hit the threshold, you can enter the current or a future season.

Can I keep earning points/relics/fragments while competing?

Absolutely. Seasons run alongside the rest of the game. The only “special” part is the entry burn and the separate time leaderboard.

Final thoughts

Seasons don’t replace what makes Reverie Field. They amplify it.
Radio still drifts through real-world textures. The world stays calm. But now your time here becomes a public story you can write every day — and a competitive arena where only presence and consistency win.
